Breakfast is the most important meal of the day…fact. If you want to spice up your brekkie this summer why not try out Luke from @lukebakerskitchen’s amazing berry and turmeric oatmeal using our delicious turmeric drink blend. Not only is this spice sweet and creamy, but it holds great nutritional value and anti-inflammatory properties so don’t shy away from using this powerful blend!

 

Ingredients:

30 g of Organic Oats

20 g of Lupin flakes (optional- if omitting, increase the Oats!)

1 tsp of Norty Turmeric Latte Blend

1 Cinnamon Stick

½ mashed Banana

½ tsp of Vanilla

1 cup of Coconut Milk

1 Handful of Berries

1 tsp Chia Seeds

Splash of Water

1tbsp of Maple Syrup

 

Recipe:

 

  1. Firstly take your oats and lupin and add a small amount of water to a saucepan over a medium heat and begin to simmer.
  2. Whilst your oats are cooking, add in your turmeric latte blend, the cinnamon stick, banana, vanilla and coconut milk and combine. 
  3. Make sure you continually stir for a good 4-5 minutes while your oats thicken up, stirring will also help prevent them from sticking.
  4. Whilst your oats are cooking, prep your berries and get a bowl ready. Once your oats have thickened up, spoon them out into your bowl and sprinkle your berries over the top. Luke also likes to add a tablespoon of pure maple syrup and a teaspoon of chia seeds at this point to get an extra sweet kick, and powerful omega hit from the chia seeds.

 

It’s really that simple. This recipe will take you a maximum of 10 minutes to prep, will satisfy your sweet tooth, and provide you with slow-release energy to keep you fuelled for the day.
